Health & Safety Services

Our Health and Safety Services include advice, implementation and training in all aspects of Health and Safety.  These Services include but are not limited to:

Risk Assessment

All employers regardless of the size of business are required by law to carry out a Risk Assessment at their place of work and to keep a written record of that risk assessment.

Our staff will review your place of work and your work activities to identify anything that could cause harm to your employees and visitors to your workplace, and determine the control measures you can implement to minimise the risk.

Safety Statements

Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 requires that employers produce a Safety Statement based on the Risk Assessment and relating to their work activities.

We will draw up a Safety Statement for your business which will document details of how the organisation identifies, assesses and controls risks in the workplace and what arrangements are in place to achieve this.

Workplace Health and Safety Audit

HR & Safety Connections Workplace Health and Safety Audit provide an independent objective report on the Health and Safety standards in your workplace.

HR & Safety  Connections will assess your current Safety Management System and review your current relevant documentation.  Our experienced consultants will perform a thorough walk-through inspection, feeding back their findings in a report.

We will work with you to ensure legal compliance and a high standard of health and safety performance.

VDU / Workstation Assessment

Our VDU / Workstation Assessments are aimed at meeting the legal requirements that apply to Visual Display Systems (VDUs) in the workplace. The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 2007, require employers to analyse VDU workstations and work environments to assess the risks to the health and safety of users, and to reduce these risks to the lowest possible level.

PAT (Portable Appliance Testing)

For the protection of the health and welfare of employees and customers all portable electric appliances in a workplace must be tested periodically, also it is a legal requirement that all electrical appliances are regularly inspected and maintained (Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulation’s S.I NO.299 of 2007).

This could include:

  • Computers
  • Kettles
  • Coffee machines
  • Drills
  • Extension leads
  • Vacuum Cleaners
  • Floor Polishers etc.

HR & Safety Connections provide trained and experienced staff to complete PAT inspections at your premises.
